No movie ticket, no problem

AlipayHK users can now buy movie tickets via mobile app.

The e-payment platform introduced a new in-app function yesterday that enables users to buy tickets for all MCL cinemas and ACX Cinemas in North Point.

Users can press the "movie/ticket" function in the app or search "movie," select the desired film, then pick the cinema, time, seats and pay up.

Purchased tickets can be found in "reward" at the top right corner in the app. Customers can just present the QR code to cinema staff instead of a printed ticket.

Users get a HK$15 coupon at 10am every day for buying movie tickets in the app - until April 30.

AlipayHK will also offer free movie tickets during the Easter holiday from Friday to Monday as well as every Sunday until April 30.
