Messages given clarity treatment

WhatsApp is adding text formatting options to help people organize and craft their messages.

According to owner Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg the options will save time and help people communicate more effectively.

Bullet lists can outline steps in a process, list ingredients in a recipe or call out main points of a message. And numbered lists can note a specific order of things.

There are also additions to bold, italic, strikethrough and Monospace formatting options that are already available to users. They help users highlight important details, add structure to long messages and present information in an organized manner.

The new options are available to all Android, iOS, Web, and Mac desktop users.
