Transport boss 'driven' by Mirror's Chan

Commissioner for Transport Rosanna Law Shuk-pui revealed she is a fan of local boy band Mirror's Ian Chan Cheuk-yin as she appreciates that the singer-songwriter always obeys traffic rules.

Law said she is a "Hellosss" - the name for Chan's supporter, as she feels the singer is talented, composes songs and was part of the national volleyball team.

"He is such an adorable kid," she said, quoting Chan, who said he would listen to his mother and never burn up the road even in a rush.

Transport and Logistics Bureau plans to amend the law to enhance taxi drivers' services, and a bill will go through its first reading tomorrow, she said.

It comes as Chan's bandmate Edan Lui Cheuk-on recently shared his unpleasant experience of calling a taxi on his social media after waiting 20 minutes for a cab.

Law backed Lui and said taxi drivers' bad attitudes may affect tourists' perspective of the SAR.
