With infection numbers shattering records, busy Hongkongers resorted to testing themselves for Covid-19 using rapid test kits during a meal or even on the MTR. Three passengers seated next to the man did not seem to notice and was unclear whether he tested positive or negative. A netizen also posted two photos on online forum LIHKG, showing a middle-aged man testing himself while having a cup of milk tea and a dish of Hainanese chicken rice for lunch.
In a video circulated on the internet yesterday, a man sat on the floor of a MTR train and tested himself. He unmasked his face and inserted a stick into his nostril.

The second photo even showed the man's testing result - there were two red lines on the testing stick, meaning he was positive.
Some netizens were shocked and slammed the man for testing in public places. Others joked that the scenario was as thrilling and embarrassing as opening a red packet at a wedding reception to see how much friends have given a couple on the spot.
