Australian man arrested in Jordan with imitation pistol

A 46-year-old Australian man was arrested in Jordan on Wednesday night after police received a report of a suspicious man possibly carrying a weapon near the junction of Temple Street and Sai Kung Street.

Police arrived with officers wearing ballistic vests and helmets and found the man at a nearby bar. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm after officers seized an imitation pistol.

Counter-terrorism officers were also deployed, and the scene was tense. Police are investigating.
