Elderly man assaulted over money dispute at Tuen Mun shopping centre

A 66-year-old man was assaulted at a shopping centre in Tuen Mun on Wednesday afternoon following a dispute over money.

The incident occurred around 5.47pm at Tai Hing Commercial Centre on Tai Hing Street. The victim, who suffered a head injury, was involved in an argument with a man aged between 70 and 80, who then attacked him with his hands.

Police said the two men knew each other and had argued previously. The victim was conscious and taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment. The case has been classified as assault occasioning actual bodily harm and handed to the Tuen Mun police district crime investigation team. No arrest has been made and police are searching for the suspect.
