Police received a report at about 12.31pm after a group of students noticed the motionless bird outside the Kowloon West Regional Building of the Water Supplies Department on Lai Hong Street.
Upon inspection, however, officers found that the pigeon’s feet were intact but had been obscured by its wings, dispelling fears of deliberate mutilation.

Police believe the bird was likely injured after flying into a wall. The case was classified as “injured animal found.”
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) was notified, and its personnel were dispatched to collect the pigeon for veterinary treatment.
