12-year-old boy dies in suspected To Kwa Wan suicide

A 12-year-old boy has died in a suspected suicide at his home in To Kwa Wan on Sunday night.

Police received a report from a woman at around 11pm that her son had hanged himself inside their flat at On Fook Building on Mei King Street.

Emergency personnel arrived and performed first aid on the boy before rushing him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident, currently classified as a suicide.
