Police seize cannabis in Sai Kung hotel room, arrest 23-year-old man

Police arrested a 23-year-old local man and seized cannabis worth about HK$440 during a raid at a hotel room in Sai Kung on Monday night.

Officers from the Wong Tai Sin district special duties squad searched the room around 9pm and detained the man on suspicion of trafficking in a dangerous drug.

About 2.8 grams of suspected cannabis and four suspected cannabis oil vape cartridges were seized.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, drug trafficking carries a maximum penalty of a $5 million fine and life imprisonment.
