The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) has temporarily suspended on-site ticket sales for the special exhibition, "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums," starting from 11am on Sunday due to an overwhelming number of visitors.
According to the museum's website, officials will monitor the situation and may resume on-site ticket sales in the evening.
Visitors without pre-purchased tickets are advised to consider visiting on another date and to purchase tickets online in advance for better trip planning.
Meanwhile, the HKPM will extend the opening hours of Gallery 9 by two hours today, with a closing time of 8pm.

The exhibition hall is expected to be crowded starting in the afternoon, with waiting times likely to be longer. Visitors are advised to follow staff instructions while queuing for entry.
To avoid peak afternoon crowds, the HKPM also recommends visiting during the morning or early evening.
All visitors are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and book tickets online in advance.
