Customs arrest two directors of online reselling site Choco Cloud Kids

Customs announced on Thursday that they have arrested the two directors of Choco Cloud Kids on Wednesday.

Choco Cloud Kids, an online store that specializes in reselling babies' daily necessities, announced its closure a few weeks ago, causing losses to more than 1,000 consumers, with many people believing that the store owner had left keeping the profits.

An investigation commenced after customs had received multiple reports leading to the arrests made yesterday (Apr 24) of 33 and 38-year-old former board members.

The two men are currently out on bail, and customs do not rule out the possibility of more arrests being made.

The customs spokesman further added that they have received more reports over the past two weeks, and up until today (Apr 25) they have received 451 reports involving the purchase of different products such as clothes, cosmetics, food, etc., resulting in a total loss of HK$400,000.

The largest known loss in a single case was HK$20,000.
