Five workers were hit by a 6-meter tall scaffolding that collapsed at a construction site in Kai Tak this afternoon, with two female workers having succumbed to their injuries.
The accident happened around 5 pm at a residential building construction site on 2 Shing Fu Lane. Four women and a man were hit by the scaffolding.
It was learned that one of the injured women was found to have no respiration or pulse when the paramedics arrived. The injuries were rushed to United Christian Hospital.
The victims aged 54 and 68 years old respectively, according to sources.
The concerned work site belongs to a residential project named Pano Harbour, which is set to be completed by the end of 2024.
