Riding on the immense success of its April 2023 edition, Global Sources’ upcoming flagship Hong Kong trade shows will span 10 exhibition halls totaling 70,000 square meters, hosting a record-breaking number of booths for the highly anticipated Consumer Electronics show.
John Kao, Global Sources’ Vice President, Hong Kong Show and Overseas Show, says the upcoming shows “have been planned with a series of upgrades” to align with the current market landscape and to enhance buyers’ sourcing experience while strengthening business partnerships. One major change is the introduction of specialized zones, bringing together products targeting thriving sectors like e-sports and smart energy.
This October, over 5,000 high-quality suppliers from Asia will occupy 9,000 booths showcasing over 300,000 innovative products across 10 exhibition halls. More than 100,000 professional buyers around the world are expected to attend the shows, divided into three phases.
Phase 1: Introducing an exciting gaming hall
Phase 1, from October 11 to 14, will electrify visitors with the latest consumer electronics and components. The Consumer Electronics show connects buyers with top OEM and ODM suppliers for the next big things in tech.
As the growing electronic sports sector continues to spur related hardware industries, a dedicated e-sports and gaming hall will house consoles, VR equipment and peripherals from well-known suppliers including DashFlash and Redragon. The hall also provides interactive displays, immersive experience zones, testing and competition areas seeking to enrich buyers’ evaluations of emerging products and technologies.
Meanwhile, the Electronic Components show sparks innovation as suppliers showcase solutions harnessing cutting-edge technologies across industries like auto, communications and more.
Phase 2: Spotlighting smart energy & smart home
Taking place from October 18 to 21, Phase 2 is a showcase of the latest innovations driving various industries into the future. The Mobile Electronics show gathers leading brands such as HAME and ORICO under one roof to showcase advancements in smart energy such as solar products, electronic vehicle chargers, mobile devices, wearables, and AR/VR gadgets.

Attendees can also source sustainable homeware and kitchen items at the Home & Kitchen pavilion, promoting high-quality yet eco-friendly lifestyles. Additionally, the Lifestyle show brings together cutting-edge designs and gadgets in the sports and leisure categories, pet products, as well as tech gifts developed through greener manufacturing processes.
Phase 3: Where fashion is front and center
Phase 3, held from October 27 to 30, aims to showcase fashion innovations to sourcing professionals. Highlighting the latest trends in sportswear, leisure and health, the Fashion show will present apparel, bags, accessories and other items from Asia-Pacific designers in response to the active lifestyles of young consumers.
Kao notes that gathering high-quality resources is crucial for trade development: “With Global Sources’ global perspective, professional services, and passion for continuous innovation, the inclusion of e-sports activities, smart energy ecosystem displays, security product experience zone, and sportswear parade in the October shows are poised to provide global buyers with enhanced convenience and efficiency.”
