Dozens of graduates of the Chinese University of Hong Kong stage a rally on the university campus today, calling for public attention towards the 12 Hongkongers being detained in the mainland.
The graduates marched towards the University Mall today at noon, the day of their graduation ceremony, which was being held online due to the pandemic.
The group, with some wearing graduation gowns and black clothing, chanted slogans including “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times” and “Five demands, not one less”.
Some were also seen holding signs with “SAVE 12”, black balloons and pinning white ribbons to their gowns.
University security followed the group on their way, saying the student’s rally might violate the government’s disease prevention measures, urging students to observe social distancing measures.
The securities also tried to stop the students before the rally starts but to no avail.
