Cantopop singer and actor Leo Ku Kui-kei revealed on New Year’s Day (Jan 1) that he has become a father again, announcing the birth of his second son with his wife Lorraine, who is 57.
The 53-year-old star shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of a newborn’s tiny hand. In the post, Ku said the arrival of the baby was a deeply moving event for the family in 2025, and he chose the first day of 2026 to share the joy with fans.
Ku said his five-year-old son Kuson had often expressed a wish for a younger sibling. As both he and his wife grew up with brothers and sisters, they believe sibling bonds are important for mutual support later in life. He added that while parents can only accompany their children for part of their life journey, siblings may walk alongside each other for much longer.
Expressing gratitude, Ku said he hopes Kuson and his younger brother will grow up loving and supporting one another, pledging to continue being a good husband and father.
Ku married Lorraine in 2015 after a long-term relationship spanning more than two decades. Known as a devoted family man, he has previously scaled back work commitments to spend more time with his elder son.
