Hang Seng Index hovers at 25,000 points by midday

The Hang Seng Index hovered at around 25,000 points by midday on Monday on rising oil prices amid the Middle East risk.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 656 points, or 2.55 percent, to 25,101.

The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 2.34 percent to 4,831.

In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index slid 1.13 percent to 4,077, while the Shenzhen Component Index declined 2.14 percent to 13,868.
