Hang Seng Index stays above 27,000 points on Thursday

Hong Kong stocks saw little change in the afternoon trading session on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index closed down 233 points, or 0.9 percent, to 27,032. 

The market turnover rose to HK$238.7 billion. 

Shares of Budweiser Brewing Company APAC (1876) and Lenovo (0992) both plunged over 4.5 percent after results, becoming the biggest losers among blue chips.

They were followed by Meituan (3690) and NetEase (9999), whose shares also lost more than 4 percent. 

The Hang Seng Tech Index declined by 1.7 percent to 5,408 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index was flat at 4,134 points and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index rose by 0.86 percent to 14,283 points.
