A traffic accident occurred at the junction of Argyle Street and Nathan Road in Mong Kok on Tuesday morning, in the same area where a motorcycle hit a taxi on Sunday and killed two people.
Shortly before 8 am today, a motorcycle was traveling along the middle lane of Argyle Street in the direction of Tai Kok Tsui.
When approaching the intersection of Nathan Road, a white Mercedes-Benz sedan cut into the biker's path from the right, causing the motorcycle lose balance while trying to evade the sedan and fell over.
Fortunately, the South Asian biker and passenger remained conscious and only suffered injuries to their hands and feet.
They had to be sent to Kwong Wah Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Dashcam footage of the accident leaked online, showed that the incident occurred when the motorcycle was cut off by the driver, a 50-year-old man named Wong.
During the incident, the motorcycle dodged and rolled over, leading the driver and passenger on the vehicle to roll to the ground.
Fortunately, they were not hit or run over by traffic.
The two men got up by themselves after being injured and then sat on the road waiting for rescue.
In the accident, motorcycle's body was damaged on the left, but the sedan remained undamaged.
