The "Milk Chocolate with Honey and Almond Nougat" by Toblerone has been taken off shelves after the product was suspected of containing plastic contaminants.
The Centre for Food Safety on Monday urged the public not to eat the affected chocolate product - with the batch number "OOY4233553" and best-before date of December 1, 2024 - as it might contain pieces of plastic.
The Centre said the manufacturer's Hong Kong representative is recalling the product concerned, and the importer and distributor have stopped the sale and removed the product from shelves.
