A video clip circulated online caught the bizarre event on June 14 on 6/F of the Harry Industrial Building on Au Pui Wan Street in Fo Tan. It captured a security guard on patrol in a corridor followed by a man from behind wielding two knives.
The man can be seen standing still but keeps waving the knives like an orchestra conductor waving a baton, while the guard ignores the man and walks to the staircase as the video ends.
The police force said today that, following an investigation, a 68-year-old man named Wai was arrested in Tai Po yesterday. He was brought to the Shatin Magistrates' Courts for mention this morning on one count of possession of an offensive weapon, a crime punishable by up to three years in jail.
