Teaming up to chill out

CLP is collaborating with Hysan Development to transform Causeway Bay into a sustainable community that effectively optimizes economic, environmental and social development impact.

Signing a memorandum of understanding yesterday, the two companies are proposing a distributed district cooling system for Lee Garden One to Six, Hysan Place and the unfinished Caroline Hill Road project, while enhancing existing cooling systems.

They are also actively exploring the development of innovative one-stop electric vehicle charging services in Causeway Bay.

Hysan Development executive director and chief operating officer Ricky Lui Kon-wai said the collaboration helps Hysan take a crucial step towards its net-zero emissions target by 2050.

CLP chief executive Chiang Tung-keung said: "The close partnership between CLP and Hysan exemplifies how different enterprises can leverage their unique strengths to serve society in a sustainable way."
