Mrs Lee keeps abreast of health issues

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu's wife Janet Lee Lam Lai-sim engaged in a conversation with breast cancer survivors during her visit to the Jockey Club Breast Health Centre in Kowloon on Monday.

Chairwoman of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation Eliza Fok Ho Yi-wah, founder Polly Cheung Suk-yee, and other committee members greeted Lee and walked her through the progress made at the foundation.

With the lease of land in Ngau Chi Wan granted by the administration in 2015 and the generous support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the center was established in 2018.

"The visit by Mrs Janet Lee, wife of the Chief Executive and our Honorary Patron, symbolizes recognition of the foundation's services," Cheung said.

The foundation has provided free screening for approximately 59,000 attendees under financial difficulties, among whom 1,000 were diagnosed with breast cancer.

"We hope to strengthen our connection and collaboration with District Health Centres in the future," Fok said.
