President of the Legion d'Honneur Club Hong Kong Chapter Association Henry Tang welcomes Guillaume Gomez, the French President's Gastronomy Representative, to Hong Kong as the city strengthens its position as an East-meets-West hub for cultural exchanges.
The French May Arts Festival marks its 30th anniversary this year as an annual signature event in Hong Kong, offering a diverse range of French inspired activities and cultural exploration throughout the month.
In partnership with the club, Gomez, who is in the SAR to promote the French art de vivre, organized a charity dinner on May 16 in collaboration with Christile Drulhe, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau.
Gomez, who joined the Elysee Palace in 1997, is an award-winning master chef who has cooked for four French presidents in the past 25 years.
The charity dinner raised a total of HK$100,000 for PathFinders Hong Kong to ensure the vulnerable and underprivileged children and their migrant mothers are protected and respected.
