Having come through many challenges in helping establish Hong Kong at the forefront of global banking, 71-year-old Peter Wong Tung-shun has been conferred with an honorary doctorate by the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.Hong Kong's resilience, he added, "has made it emerge stronger after each crisis."
Long associated with HSBC as well as Standard Chartered plus work for the university, Wong responded by thanking his family, colleagues and clients for their support, noting "our sector has played a key role in reinforcing Hong Kong's position as an international financial center," and he'd "experienced the ups and downs of the city."

He now believes the Greater Bay Area will be vital for Hong Kong's youth and is pressing the SAR business community to provide more job opportunities to help them cope in increasingly uncertain times.
