MTR eases passenger pain

The MTR Corp has extended the 20 percent rebate for Octopus card users in the face of unprecedented challenges for citizens amid the pandemic.

The railway operator announced the extension of "20 percent rebate for every octopus trip" until March 31 next year.

MTR Passengers can also enjoy a HK$100 reduction for every purchase of "Monthly Pass Extra" and "MTR City Saver" from January to late June next year.

It also announced a price change for "Monthly Pass Extra"  and  "MTR City Saver" will be deferred to July next year.

Jeny Yeung Mei-chun, Commercial Director of MTR Corporation, said: "The corporation hopes to continue to ride out the hardship with Hong Kong by extending the fare discounts. We hope that the Hong Kong economy will recover when the pandemic is over."
