Sport is an important part of every child's education, providing opportunities for physical and socio-emotional development. Hong Kong Academy (HKA) is part of the International Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong (HKISSF) and participates in 4 seasons of competitive sport each year. The majority of the school’s secondary school students are involved in at least one of the HKISSF sports league teams and also practise some form of visual or performing art.
HKA has a tradition of being a very strong contender in volleyball and this year hosted the ISSFHK league playoffs for the U16 teams with U16 boys team bringing home a silver medal. HKA's U20 teams also competed in the ACAMIS Bauhinia Division Volleyball tournament and the girls team won the championship!
HKA’s location in Sai Kung also offers students the opportunity to engage in outdoor sports and the school has a number of students performing at Hong Kong level in sports such as sailing, tennis, golf, swimming and horse riding.
