Take a walk on the dark side

The popular Night Walk program is returning to Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden this summer starting next Friday, where wildlife experts guide participants in discovering the wonders of the nocturnal world.

Nocturnal animals like bats, leopards and owls are most active at night, so an evening stroll is sure to immerse you in the tranquility of nighttime nature.

Along winding trails through the lower farm, you may come across fireflies, frogs or snakes inhabiting surrounding streams and ponds. With a touch of good fortune, you may even catch a glimpse of wild porcupines or hear barking deer.

The night walk will be held on six Fridays - June 14, June 28, July 12, July 26, August 9 and August 23 - at the lower area of KFBG between 7pm and 9.15pm. The tour will be in English, supplemented with Chinese.

Each tour costs HK$400 and can accomodate 20 participants aged 12 or above. Underage participants must be accompanied by an adult.
