HK bourse gets cozy with neighbors

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing named two Chinese market experts to its mainland China Advisory Group, as the bourse is deepening its connection with regional economic power.

The two new members are professor Huang Yiping, Dean of the National School of Development and Director of the Institute of Digital Finance of the Peking University, and Chang Sun, partner and chairman of TPG China.

Huang is also a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the People's Bank of China. Sun and the founder and current Honorary Chairman of the China Venture Capital Association

HKEX's new chairman Carlson Tong Ka-shing welcomed Huang and Sun's participation and believed their deep expertise and extensive experience in China's business and finance industry as well as the understanding of macroeconomic and financial policies, will facilitate the further development of the bourse's China strategy.
