Hong Kong Baptist University's Fact Check Information Literacy Exhibition opened at its campus yesterday, with the slogan: 'Have you fact checked today?'

HKBU FC, operated by its School of Communication, has been committed to enhancing public knowledge and skills in fact-checking and information literacy for the past three years.

Over 100 lectures and workshops for various stakeholders have been organized.

This exhibit targets secondary school students across the city. During the interactive workshops, visitors will learn about the concepts and steps of fact-checking - techniques to differentiate facts from opinions and how to utilize online tools to trace the source images and videos - as well as how to employ software to identify AI-generated images, etc.

Students can then discern reliable information and navigate today's complex environment in the age of AI.

Since 2020, HKBU FC has been a verified member of the International Fact-Checking Network publishing over 300 fact-check reports.
