Enchanting performances to note

The new "Hong Kong Artists" series launched by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department presents six local musicians in four performances at City Hall in Central from May to November.

"The series aims to provide a new platform for local artists to showcase their talent and encourages cross-genre works to highlight their unique styles," LCSD said.

Flutist Alice Hui and bassoonist Tommy Liu will perform compositions from the Romantic Period to the 20th century on May 1. Pianist Hui Ling will showcase pieces from the 18th to the 20th century on July 5. Mak Ka-yin will play traditional and contemporary huqin pieces on August 13. Pianists Stephen Wong and Amy Sze will give a duo recital of the classic two-piano on November 2.
