A stamp set will be released for sale on March 14 to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the late wuxia martial arts novelist Louis Cha Leung-yung, best known as Jia Yong.
The set of six stamps and two HK$10 stamp sheetlets will be themed on characters in Jin Yong's A Path to Glory, which is a sequel to the characters in Jin Yong stamps in 2018.
The stamp set will feature eight well-known characters from Jin Yong's novels: Guo Jing, Ouyang Feng and Huang Rong from The Eagle-Shooting Heroes, Linghu Chong and Ren Woxing from The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, Qiao Feng from The Demi-Gods and the Semi-Devils, and Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu from The Giant Eagle and its Companion.
The stamps also feature characters based on the sculptures of Ren Zhe. First-day covers went on sale at all post offices and on Hongkong Post's online shopping mall ShopThruPost yesterday.
The special stamps and associated philatelic products will be on sale at all post offices and on ShopThruPost from March 14.
Other items will be available at philatelic offices only.
