Chis Tang champions serving citizens

Secretary for Security Chris Tang said he is filled with satisfaction after doing "concrete work" for citizens, as he promised to adhere to his duties this year.

"Although there was no break, I am satisfied to have accomplished tangible results for the public," he said in his yearly review. "My team at the Security Bureau and I will fearlessly face challenges and fulfil our mission!"

Tang discussed the emergency rescue cooperation in the Greater Bay Area, promoted youth development and strengthened crime prevention and drug control after the border reopened.

Also part of his achievements were amending the Fire Safety (Buildings) Ordinance to improve fire safety, organizing the territory-wide inter-school national security knowledge challenge and expanding pilot scheme on immigration facilitation for visitors participating in short-term activities in designated sectors.

And last month, he led a group of teenagers to visit Sha Tau Kok during its the second phase of opening up.
