Pink is color for the Peak

The Peak will be dressed in pink on Sunday as the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation goes for a walk to raise awareness of the affliction and efforts for health.

The Pink Walk fundraiser is returning to streets after being held virtually for three years because of the pandemic.

"Latest statistics show one in every 14 women has a chance of developing invasive breast cancer in her lifetime," says Polly Cheung Suk-yee, founder of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. "The number of cases continues to rise - a worrying trend. Staying active is an effective way to reduce breast cancer risks."

The 3.5-kilometer walk route from Peak Road Garden to The Peak Tower is suitable for people of all ages, and participants are encouraged to dress in pink to spread the health message.

Upon enrolling and making a donation, participants qualify for the top fundraiser award, the highest participation award for teams and the Best-Dressed Pink Award.
