Sham Shui Po police bust illegal fishing game dens, arrest 25

Sham Shui Po police raided multiple units on Nam Cheong Street, Apliu Street, Cheung Sha Wan Road and Ki Lung Street on Wednesday, smashing several suspected illegal fishing game gambling establishments in an operation codenamed "RISING SUN."

A total of 25 people were arrested, including 15 local men, six local women, two mainland men, one mainland woman and one foreign man, aged between 20 and 63. They were held on suspicion of managing a gambling establishment and gambling in a gambling establishment. A 33-year-old local man was also held for failing to produce identification.

Dozens of fishing game machines, gambling paraphernalia and cash were seized. All suspects are being detained for investigation.
