Woman arrested for assaulting police officer in Sham Shui Po

A 33-year-old woman was arrested on Monday night after allegedly grabbing a police officer by the neck while officers were handling a dispute at a staircase on Yu Chau Street in Sham Shui Po.

The incident occurred around 8.21pm. The woman, surnamed Chan, became emotionally agitated and grabbed a male officer's neck. She was subdued and arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

The officer sustained neck injuries and was taken to Caritas Medical Centre conscious. The case has been handed to the Sham Shui Po police district crime investigation team.
