Gang of 12 trashes Lan Kwai Fong bar, causing $380,000 damage

A gang of 12 men armed with metal and wooden rods smashed up a bar in Lan Kwai Fong on Tuesday night, causing about HK$380,000 in damage before fleeing.

Police were called around 9pm after the men stormed the bar on Lan Kwai Fong's Nos. 8-11, smashing 31 electronic screens, a Christmas tree and a dart machine. Photos showed shattered glass and destroyed screens.

The case, handled as criminal damage, has been taken over by the Central district anti-triad unit due to the scale and brazen nature of the attack. Officers are reviewing CCTV to identify the suspects. No arrests have been made.
