A man was injured and residents were evacuated after a kitchen fire broke out at a residential unit in Tsz Wan Shan early Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to multiple reports of flames and smoke coming from a unit in Oi Wing House of Tsz Oi Court at around 5am. Crews extinguished the blaze after evacuating numerous residents.
The injured male resident was transported to hospital in conscious condition. Preliminary investigation suggests the fire started in the unit's kitchen, with authorities examining the exact cause.
