Police have arrested 11 people during a raid on an alleged illegal gambling establishment in Mong Kok on Tuesday afternoon.
Yau Tsim police district special duty team officers conducted the operation at a residential unit on 436 Shanghai Street after gathering intelligence and conducting an in-depth investigation.
During the raid, officers arrested a 46-year-old local man surnamed Yip on suspicion of operating a gambling establishment.
Police also detained another mainland Chinese man, two foreign men, three local men and three local women aged between 35 and 64 for gambling in a gambling establishment.
Officers seized seven fishing game machines, one card reader, a batch of game cards and about $2,300 in cash from the premises.
All arrested persons are currently in custody for investigation.
