About 200 people were evacuated after a fire broke out on scaffolding at a construction site in Kai Tak on Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The fire erupted at the "KEyPoint" construction site on Concorde Road around 10.15 am, sending thick smoke into the air from a 10-meter by 10-meter section of scaffolding.

Online videos captured a large portion of the scaffolding severely burned, accompanied by the sound of bamboo cracking in the background.
The Fire Department deployed one water jet and a breathing apparatus team to extinguish the fire within around 45 minutes.
During the incident, approximately 40 nearby residents self-evacuated to safety.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
