Aspiring young performers from Hong Kong are being afforded a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn their dreams of stardom into reality. The Hong Kong Jockey Club recently partnered XIX Entertainment – the global entertainment brand founded by American Idol creator Simon Fuller – and now they’re hosting auditions to find a Hong Kong star to join Fuller’s international pop group Now United (NU). It will open up a world of opportunities for talented youth, while also showcasing the Club’s commitment to youth development and capacity building.
The talent search also featured a two-day training workshop led by world-class choreographer Nicky Anderson and vocal coach Berkley The Artist, who have worked with global superstars such as BTS and Taylor Swift. Also at the workshop were popular YouTubers Tung Tung and Ah J from Pomato, who shared stories and experiences with the participants. They discussed the challenges they may face in pursuit of their dreams – helping to generate a sense of appreciation and connection.
The search for NU’s next member is the first initiative under the Club’s partnership with XIX that was announced in May, underlining the Club’s aspiration to become a global sports entertainment brand. It recently launched an all-in-one @hkjcentertainment social media platform, providing updates on the Club’s activities and initiatives. So whether you want to track progress on the search for NU’s next member or score the best deals for Hong Kong’s world-class race meetings including Happy Wednesday, tune into @hkjcentertainment to ensure you don’t miss out.
