The show must (virtually) go on

Gaming and music aficionados will be glad to hear that their interests have converged in the form of local band C AllStar's upcoming virtual concert.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the band is hosting its Make it Happen @10 - C AllStar Virtual Live concert on the video game Minecraft on August 28.

"This fun and creative online interactive concert is the first of its kind in Asia," C AllStar member Kenny Chan Kin-on said. "The production team has even helped us recreate the stage of the Hung Hom Coliseum in the game and gave us our own characters, allowing us to interact with the audience."

"I really like this game because you can build your own things, it's like Lego," another member, King Wu said.

Tickets are HK$48 without a Minecraft account and HK$248 with an account. But fans will have to be quick, as 90 percent of seats have already sold out.

The production team has even designed a treasure hunt in a Minecraft version of Tsim Sha Tsui, recreating landmarks like the Clock Tower, Star Ferry Pier and Space Museum.
