A woman narrowly avoided severe wounds while walking near an estate in Kwun Tong when two bottles of acid suddenly fell from a height on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 1 pm when the woman was walking near the Wan Hon Estate with her son.
The liquid splashed on her face, neck and hands. Fortunately, the wounds were superficial. She was sent to hospital for medical attention.
Police are investigating and taking away the two plastic bottles for evidence.
A resident surnamed Chan said that objects, including trash and glass bottles, were being thrown or falling from heights at the location.
She pointed out that similar incidents have been happening for years, and she was nearly hit by a falling Chinese pastry this morning at 6 am.
