Two-vehicle collision in Yau Tong injures five

Five people were injured after a taxi and a Tesla collided at Yau Tong on Saturday night.

At about 9 pm yesterday (Apr 27), a taxi collided with a Tesla sedan at the junction of Yau Tong Road and Lei Yue Mun Road, causing the taxi to be overturned.

In the accident, one man and four women were injured, including the male taxi driver, the male Tesla driver, two female taxi passengers, and two women Tesla passengers.

It is understood that the taxi was traveling along Lei Yue Mun Road towards Kwun Tong, while the Tesla was traveling in the opposite direction.

At the junction of Yau Tong Road, the Tesla turned right onto Yau Tong Road and accidentally blocked and collided with the taxi.

When the police arrived at the scene to investigate, the drivers of both vehicles reported seeing a green light.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
