Woman dies after falling on stairs at King George V Memorial Park

A 30-year-old woman died after she fell on the stairs at King George V Memorial Park on Saturday afternoon and sustained a severe injury to her head. 

Police received a report around 12:45 pm that the woman surnamed Kwok was found unconscious with her head bleeding profusely in the Sai Ying Pun park. 

The woman was immediately rushed to Queen Mary Hospital by paramedics called to the scene but was eventually pronounced dead. 

The actual cause of her death has yet to be confirmed pending an autopsy. 

It is understood that Kwok was taking a stroll in the park at the time.
