Another HK$15m suspected cocaine haul found on Hong Kong beach

Hong Kong police have seized another batch of suspected cocaine found on a beach, with a total estimated market value of around HK$15 million.

Officers got called to a shingle beach near Nam She Wan of Sai Kung at around 2 pm Sunday after hikers found 13 packages of suspicious white powder.

Police said around 15 kilograms of suspected cocaine were inside the packages, valued at around HK$15 million.

The drug bust on Sunday came two weeks after two suspected cocaine discoveries on beaches in the territory. Police previously seized eight and 19 kilograms of suspected cocaine in Ting Kau and Stanley, respectively, with a total estimated market value of around HK$27 million.

Police said all cases were listed as the discovery of suspicious objects and were followed up by the Narcotics Bureau.
