Smart living innovations take center stage at Global Sources Hong Kong Shows

Held from April 18 to 21 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Global Sources Hong Kong exhibitions entered the second phase with innovative products encompassing a number of sectors.

The four-day event includes the Mobile Electronics, Smart Home, Security & Home Appliances, Lifestyle, and Home & Kitchen shows, featuring approximately 4,000 exhibitors and over 2,000 suppliers.

Advanced mobile electronics

The shows provided exhibitors with a special stage to introduce new products, offering buyers the latest in design and technology.

Pynana’s booth offered phone cases in the jewelry style. A noteworthy product of theirs was Dancing Circle. The company created a dancing circular effect by embedding round crystals into a versatile ring holder, reflecting the beauty and energy of life.

The event also showcased the “2024 Top 20 China Mobile Accessories Export Brands Award Ceremony,” which aimed to present exceptional Chinese mobile accessory brands to buyers, providing a platform for brand owners to attract international agents, negotiate business deals and promote greater industry cooperation.

Pisen, one of the top 20 Chinese brands for mobile accessory exports, exhibited its 65W GaN desktop magnetic charger at this year’s event. The invention provided ease of use, high power, portability, and rapid heat dissipation, making it perfect for workplace use.

The smart home of the future

Continuous innovation in design results in new versions of home products. At this comprehensive sourcing hub, visitors could explore a variety of innovative, fashionable home products.

One standout was Shenzhen Zhenyuan Tiancheng Technology Co. Ltd’s AI smart memory foam pillow. Users could adjust the pillow’s height using the brand’s app to suit their comfort level. Additionally, the colorful ambient light could synchronize with the user’s breathing frequency, creating a gentle, rhythmic illumination that fosters a comfortable and soothing sleep environment.

Meanwhile, Guangdong Kegao Electronics’ smart plant humidifier was another product highlight. The device included a special plant-humidifying mode better suited for growing plants. The company also developed a distinct aromatherapy box to cater to both aroma diffusion and humidification at the same time.

A sustainable lifestyle

Sustainability is a pivotal theme in the shows. This year’s shows featured various products, including tech gifts, pet accessories, health and personal care items, emphasizing high-quality goods made using sustainable manufacturing technologies.

For instance, Zhejiang Fuwan Pet Technology Co. Ltd is committed to enhancing pets’ lives by developing apple wood tofu mixed cat litter and polymer tofu mixed cat litter from natural and sustainable ingredients. By providing premium pet products, such as toys, travel equipment, and wall furniture for cats, the business aimed to promote a sustainable way of life for both cats and their parents.

Meanwhile, various compostable food packaging products were displayed in Liaoning Kunze’s display area. The company collaborated with a sugarcane and bamboo farm and created sugarcane tableware that will withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C.

Featured products include biodegradable plates, hinged food boxes, and cup carriers.

Additionally, the shows featured a special area for showcasing environmentally friendly, low-carbon, and green products, with the goal of drawing buyers’ attention to these products and encouraging the advancement of sustainable sourcing practices.
