As the winter holidays draw near, Sino Group is adding to the festive atmosphere with a “Christmas Car Boot Market” in China Hong Kong City. The open-air market showcases artisanal handicrafts, delicacies, fashion items and game booths from over 30 vehicle boots, accompanied by mesmerizing views of Victoria Harbour.
Shoppers can also enjoy live music performances, and on weekends, spectacular fireworks in the evening against the backdrop of skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island that glitter in the full festive atmosphere.
This past weekend, Hong Kong played host to the final round of the “WDSF Breaking for Gold World Series-Hong Kong 2023”, which serves as the Olympic qualifier for breakdance. Always supportive of the breakdancing sport, the Sino Group specially invited breakdancing stars from various nations and territories to take part in their “Christmas Car Boot Market”. They held the “Soul Fever World Breaking Party” and workshops led by globally renowned dancers. This created a chance post-competition for the dancers to exchange breaking techniques at an outdoor plaza in Hong Kong, while enjoying the stunning nighttime vistas of Victoria Harbour amid a lively atmosphere.
Participating in the party were Hong Kong’s B-Boy Sunny Lin, B-Boy Think, B-Boy C Plus, B-Girl Lady Little, first runner-up at the first China National Student (Youth) Games breakdance finals B-Girl C-Change, Malaysian national breakdance sport athlete and full-time dancer B-Boy Lego Sam.
An impromptu friendly match was held during the party, during which dancers paired up to compete. Finally, after several rounds of elimination, the championship was won by Hong Kong ‘s B - Boy Cyu and Morocco’s B - Boy Cri6.
Dancing and cheering to the rhythm, the audience also had a great time experiencing the dynamics and energy as teams battled on. At the finale, the DJ immersed everyone into the hip-hop culture of breakdance.
Concurrently, a breakdance workshop was held with B-Boy Amir from Kazakhstan, who was the Champion of 2021 Red Bull BC One, as the instructor to teach children aged 5 to 12 from the social welfare organization GDCD Association. Local young B-Boys and B-Girls also participated in the workshop to facilitate the interflow of dance skills.
