No injuries were reported after two boats caught fire in the Aberdeen West Typhoon Shelter on Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported to police around 3.47 pm today as black smoke billowed from the two boats.
Marine vessels and fireboats soon came and shot water at the two burning boats. The Fire Services Department also mobilized a water jet and two breathing apparatus teams and the fire was put out around 5 pm.
No injuries were reported. Firefighters and marine cops also boarded the boats later to investigate.
It is understood only one fishing boat had caught ablaze at first, but the fire soon extended to another fishing boat nearby.
Investigation is now underway.
