Harbour Plaza Hotels & Resorts has been inducted into the Travel Hall of Fame in the Asia-Pacific region in recognition of its outstanding achievements and excellence in the hospitality industry. The hotel group received the prestigious TTG Travel Hall of Fame Award at the 32nd TTG Annual Travel Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner held in Bangkok this September.
The TTG Travel Hall of Fame was established in 2002 to honour travel and tourism organizations that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and achieved the highest standards of excellence. Significantly, Harbour Plaza Hotels & Resorts has won the ‘Best Local Hotel Chain’ award for an impressive 10 consecutive years, highlighting its consistent track record of superior service quality.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our trade partners and customers for supporting us over the past years. As a local hotel chain we strive to set an example in our service quality for discerning travelers,” said P.C. Koh, Director of Harbour Plaza Hotels & Resorts.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all our hotel colleagues who are dedicated to providing excellent service to our guests. We’re committed to continuing to provide the best service to all business and leisure travelers,” Koh added.
This year, the hotel group expanded its portfolio with the addition of two new properties in Shanghai – Harbour Plaza Metropolitan Shanghai and Metropolitan Residence Shanghai, providing 1,144 more rooms and bringing its total room count to 9,728 across 13 hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The new Shanghai hotels are conveniently located near the Zhenru subway station in the Putuo district, just a five-stop ride away from the popular Xintiandi area.
In Hong Kong, Harbour Plaza Metropolis completed a renovation that modernized all guest rooms with a contemporary new look. Some rooms even feature panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island. The hotel is now also better placed to serve convention customers with the new MTR line connecting it directly to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
