Man dies after drowning in Ma Wan

An elderly man drowned when swimming in Ma Wan on Sunday morning and was later pronounced dead. 

The 76-year-old man surnamed Lai was found drowning at the Tung Wan Beach around 8 am this morning. 

He was rescued but had fallen unconscious and stopped breathing already. He was then rushed to Yan Chai Hospital but was eventually pronounced dead. 

Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
